Easy Mailbox

Your mailboxes. On your Mac. Nowhere else.

Easy Mailbox is a mail app for IMAP accounts that keeps nothing that isn't its own: your mail stays on the server, your credentials stay encrypted on your Mac.

Preview appearance
One app, nine looks. Coming from Outlook or Apple Mail, you'll feel at home right away – and if you like it dark, so will you.

What lives where. That's all there is.

imap · port 993 On your mail server
Messages and attachments. Easy Mailbox loads them when you open them and never keeps them. Every change goes straight to the server.
~/Library/Application Support On your Mac
Sender, subject and date for a fast list. Credentials, encrypted. Local folders as encrypted files.
Keychain In your Keychain
The master key. Without it, nobody can read your credentials or local folders.
— With us
Nothing. No account, no cloud in between, no tracking. The app talks directly to your mail server.

Everything a mail app needs. Nothing it doesn't.

As many accounts as you like, cleanly separated
Each account has its own servers, sender names and signatures. Mail always goes out through the account's own SMTP server.
A spam filter that learns
It learns from every “Spam” and “Not spam” and can empty the junk folder for you.
Undo, even after sending
Send, delete, move: one click brings it back. You decide for how long.
Filters straight from a message
“Create filter from this” turns a sender or recipient into a rule. No form, no searching.
Local folders for what you want to keep
Move old mail from the server to your Mac. Stored encrypted, deleted from the server only once the copy has been verified.
Write in Markdown
Headings, lists and links in plain text. Sent as clean HTML with a plain-text version.
A sync log that only shows what matters
New mail, filter hits and errors per account, without sender or subject. Open it with ⇧H.
Switch without retyping
Export accounts as JSON or TOML. Passwords only ever encrypted, with a passphrase that never leaves the app.
